    Split or Freeze?

I want to split a worksheet in half down the middle so that I can scroll A:F independently of G:L. This is an account ledger with a running total of entries on the right and then subaccount groupings on the left. I mostly want to be able to scroll the legder half while the subaccounts stay fixed, but the ability to scroll the sub accounts would be nice. Any hope?

It depends on what cell you have active, for what kind of split you get.

If your active cell is in Row 1 you will get a vertical split at the column the active cell is in,

similarily if your active cell is in column 1, you will get a horizontal split.

If your active cell is in the middle somewhere, you will get both a vertical and horizontal split at the location of the cell...

experiment with those and see if any get you what you need.

    Menu is: Window|Split
Where there is a will there are many ways.
