I might be asking too much on this one. The Bureau of Labor Statistics is kind enough to collect data that I really need however they display it in a text file or pdf, neither of these I can use.
I need to see if there is some way to convert this text file into an excel table. This is out of my league some I am hoping someone here can help me.
I have attached the text, pdf and the excel table I started. When I copy the text file and paste it into excel, there seems to be a row for each entry but all of the data isin one column instead of among various columns. The PDF can give you an example of what it should look like. I don't care about the column headers, I can go back and add those in later. This conversion only needs to be done once and then I can put the headers back in by hand.
If someone can figure this out, you are my new best friend.
There is a profile that I can do through the BLS website that can get me the info I need on a case by case basis. Is there a way to write a macro that can do this?
