    Using Transpose in excel

I have been using transpose to change from columns to rows.

Lately, when I transpose, I get a completely different and unrelated series of references.

eg: I copy a15:a21 I then highlight the destination cell and click on transpose.

Now, comes the fun part, I will not get a15:a21 but something completely different. they will be a series, but not even close to what I wanted.

    Any ideas??

Did you try selecting Values as well as Transpose when you Paste Special your range?
Where there is a will there are many ways.

    Re: Using Transpose in excel

    I just tried again.

Don't understand selecting values. I highlight the cells I want to copy.

These cells are in a column.

When I transpose, the cells are completely different cells with no correlation to the selected cells.

    Re: Using Transpose in excel

How were the values in the original cells obtained? Are the hard-coded numbers or are they results of formulas... if the latter, what is the formula?

Better yet, post the sample sheet so we can take a look.
