    copying tables with conditional formatting

    Hello

My problem: I have applied conditional formatting to a column of cells in a table, I have copied them down the worksheet and everything works successfully, however if I try to copy these tables along the worksheet the formatting does not automatically change and adapt to the new location, I appreciate the reasons for it not changing but do not know if there is a solution.

What I would like to be able to do is copy the tables with the conditional formatting without creating new Rules for each table as the worksheet is extensive, where there is a table of data for every day of every week for a whole year - so you must see my dilemma.

Does this make any sense? Can somebody help? I will post any extra information you need to progress my vague request for help.

    Kind Regards
    twallis

Re: copying tables with conditional formatting

    Hi

Thanks for your effort to help. I have tried that and the result is the same.

What happens is that when I copy and paste a table with the conditional formatting it still uses the format I have set for the previous range of cells, where a sum of cells will adapt itself to the new range of cells when you copy and paste it somewhere else within a worksheet.

I have attached a primitive version of the spreadsheet I am working on to show what I am working towards.

i.e. (first table of first worksheet) - if cell C14>6 then cells C7:C13 will turn red and turn green if <7.

for the next day I want the formatting to do the same so the reference cell C14 will become M14 and so on.

    Thanks again
