align columns ?

I have one spreadsheet with several columns, one column is prooduct id and the next column is retail price, i have a second spread sheet with new pricing , so one column is id and second is new price, however the id's are not on the same line so I cant just cut and paste , is there a way to match the id so i can align the prices?

You could:

1. Copy and paste the new data into the old worksheet (or vice versa)
2. In an adjacent but empty column use the VLOOKUP function to match the ID in the old List to the ID in the new list and return the associated new price.

Once you have the new price in the column, copy the formula cells and Paste Special Values to overwrite the formulas, then delete the unneeded new pricing data.
