Question auto fill cells based on value entered in first cell?

    Hi
I am tryign to make a "form" where
Users enter (select) data (from a list) in one cell that results in other data (from a list) appearing in a different cell.

    For example,
How would I have "2007-2008" auto fill in one cell (indicating previous year) after the user selects the 2008-2009 in a previous cell?

I attached one sheet (the question sheet) or a workbook I am trying to create that is basically a form that a user fills out that produces a report for them based on entered data.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

I THINK the answer is there but I am toorushed/new/limited to get it. I THINK what I need is an index -match formula, right?

    so
the user selects 2008-2009 in cell b2
2008-2009 appears in cell b2 (and several other cells throughout the workbook..the attachment had multiple hidden spreadsheets)
AND 2009-2010 automatically appears in cell c2 (and several other cells throughout the workbook..)

I'll keep rereading and working on it...

by the way, I have seen a few sites that say "we will write formulas, no job to small.."
Is there really a place where I could describe something like this, pay soemone a small fee (how small? I TRY to do lots of spreadsheets like this for free/my job/and is just to help beyond what people expect, but I REALLY want to do these things)

for example I have a set of wav files
I have a list of "traits" if the user selects a trait I want them to hear the relative wav file describing their trait's strengths.
I have posted the question and received suggestions to do it, but I can't even figure out the answers - much less actually do it!

For example one reply said "embed the wav file" how? the way I did it made an icon appear...not what I wanted...could i just pay a small fee have this done?

    I know help is valuable.
    thanks,
    Synthia
