    average if meets criteria

    I have a table of percentages. I need to set up the final column to calcukate the average of all the percentages that are =>80%. I can ge this right if the numbers are not listed as percentages. However the moment I change teh columns to percentages, the formula fails.

    Could someone please assist.

    Regards
    Lynn

    Re: EXCEL 2003: average if meets criteria

    If the numbers are stored as percentages (ie 80% or 0.8) then

    =SUMIF(A:A,">=80%")/COUNTIF(A:A,">=80%")

    where A contains values.
