Extracting data from two tables to create a third.

I would be grateful for some help please in knowing how to extract data from two tables in order to create a third. In the example I have two initial tables:-

Table 1 has four columns listing some items against a name. Not all columns will necessarily contain data. Table 1 will never have more that four colums.

Table 2 is headed with a row of all items likely to be found in Table 1, every other cell containing a numerical value. The data in row 2 of Table 2 relates to the same name, as row 2 of Table 1 as does the data in row 3 and so on.

I wish to create Table 3 by interrogating each row in Table1 and where an item name is found extract the numerical value from Table 2 that relates to the same item name and then to write this numerical value into Table 3. The headings of tables 2 and 3 are identical. Some cells in Table 3 will therefore remain blank for some rows.

I have attempted to use Hlookup and Match functions without success. These are sample tables. In reality the tables will contain several hundred rows. Tables 2 and 3 will contain no more than 50 columns.

Any help or guidance would be much appreciated please.

beaunydal, thank you so much for your response. Your solution works fine and thanks for understanding what I was trying to achieve, in spite of Name2. I am very much obliged to you and best regards.
