    Need a formula to calculate time between open and closed dates and times

    I need a formula that will calculate the time difference in hours and minutes between when a ticket was opened to when it was closed. Our company functions 24 hours a day 7 days a week inlcuding public holidays so it must include all of these. An example is the ticket was opened on the 06/06/2011 at 15.40pm and was closed on the 06/06/2011 at 16.15pm

    You should just be able to subtract the two dates/times and format the result as [hh]:mm.

    Failing that, have a look at DATEDIFF

    There have been a couple of threads recently on a similar vein but more complex because they're not 24x7x365

    Hi... i need formula for finding difference in two times. our production plan is like
    8 AM TO 8.45AM 0.45 ( NEED FORMULA FOR THIS)
    8.45AM TO 11.30 AM 2.45 ( NEED FORMULA FOR THIS)
    11.30 AM TO 12.45 AM 1.15 ( NEED FORMULA FOR THIS)
    PLEASE HELP ME IN THIS ISSUE.
