Date Format Issue

I am exporting data from a web based data base into Excel. There is a date field that displays mm/dd/yyy hh:mm and when I change the format to mm/dd/yyy only the cell shows the format that I want however when I look at the cell contents it still shows mm/dd/yyy hh:mm and this is throwing off a date comparison formula. I've tried various things to correct does anyone have any suggestions?

I had the same issue. I ended up with using the Rounddown --Rounddown(Cell_Reference,0)-- function then format the results in the the MM/DD/YYY format. Hope this helps.
