Need help with excel formula for Non-players cell

I have the formula for column "Status" where I had to find the total of "players" using the formula =COUNTIF(D4:D36, "Player") for the answer to be entered into cell D39 However I can't find the right formula to work that can find the total of "Medical Staff", "Coach" and "Accom Person" for the non-players cell at D40. Basicially i want to find the number of people in column D that are not labelled "Player" and add them together into cell D40. Any help would be great. I want to make it so that even if cells in Column D were changed or moved around that the formula would still be able to add all the non-players.
