Using COUNTA Function

I'm trying to use COUNTA to count the cells in a specific range, however, when I type the function out, all I get is the function, not the results. I've tried it in different cells as well, and still the same results.

    I'm typing
    =COUNTA(D3:D1022)

    What am I missing?

Edit: I finally got it to work. Sheesh!

    Re: Using COUNTA Function

do all of the formulas show up that way? because if so, maybe you have it set up to "show formulas". try holding down the ctrl key and pressing the ` key (top left, below the ~ key)
    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
