Post Please Help - Trying to convert 1-2 sec data to a 5 minute Average based on time stamp -

    Hello All,

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I have a boat load of data (temp & rel humidity) that is logged every second or sometimes 2 seconds and I'd like to make a formula to get the average every five minutes in order to correspond it to other data and to plot.

I think I need to create a formula based on the time stamp since every five minutes the number of rows of data is not consistent. An example of the data is attached.

    Cheers,

    Kyle

It will be easier to extract the time element to a helper column, eg by putting this in K2:

    =MOD(A2,1)

and formatting as a time and then copying down. Then, by listing your 5-minute increments down another column (eg M), you could use an AVERAGEIFS formula for each of your temperature and humidy data.

    Hope this helps.

    Zbor and Pete,

Thanks again! Everything worked out, I was able to make some beautiful graphs and my boss man was happy with the results in this mornings meeting.

    Cheers, Kyle
