    sum formula giving a cell reference in the answer

    i have a simple formula with 3 cells, the sum of these 3 cells should be zero however the answer im getting is 2.76E-12. i have never experienced anything like this and im 100% sure my formula is correct. the formula i have used is =sum(I12,G12,H13)

    From what I've noticed that's a format issue. Change the cells formatting to numbers instead of general and this should be fine. Let me know if it doesn't work then please give more details and I'll see if I can help.
