    Auto populate fields based on data in a drop down box from a second sheet

    I am trying to automatically populate cells based on the selection made in a drop down field.
    The workbook is structured so that sheet 1 has a drop down box, and sheet 2 has the fields for that box, along with fields which correspond to the selection.

    I am trying to pull data in the same row as the data selected by the drop down into specific cells in the first sheet.

    Which formula should I use?

    I have investigated both an Index and Vlookup, without success.

    Hi Grazzio

    Not sure what you mean!
    One thing you should not do is merge cells, it messes things up. Just widen the column or select the cells and center across selection in format cells > Alignment > Horizontal drop down box > Center across selection.

    Considering you don't know what I mean, you have done well to answer this!

    Thanks for the help.

    FI: I need to merge the cells as in the actual sheet there is data above this which requires to be in the columns
