Sumproduct between date range on two worksheets

I've searched for an answer and haven't been able to find one. I have two worksheets, one with date column and numerical data (CW12), the other with two date ranges (Summary). I am trying to enter my date range on one sheet and total the amount from the other sheets data. Specifically, I want to find how many mile a given vehicle travels between the two dates. (quarterly)

The formula I have returns either #value or #ref when modified. The formula I am entering is

Without some sample data, I have to guess what you're working with.
I *think* this will do what you want...

    Ron,

Thank you very much, the sumproduct code works. That is very similar to a previous formula I had I was just inserting too many variables. I needed a fresh set of eyes to look at what I was missing.

    @ NotQuiteThere

Based on your last post it seems that you are satisfied with the solution(s) you've received but you haven't marked your thread as SOLVED. I'll do that for you now but please keep in mind for your future threads that Rule #9 requires you to do that yourself. If your problem has not been solved you can use Thread Tools (located above your first post) and choose "Mark this thread as unsolved".
    Thanks.

Also, as a new member of the forum, you may not be aware that you can thank those who have helped you by clicking the small star icon located in the lower left corner of the post in which the help was given. By doing so you can add to the reputation(s) of those who helped.

Thanks Cutter, I AM new to forums etc and understood that I should have checked the problem as solved but I couldn't find the button. My apologies.
I also wanted to add to Ron's reputation but as a newbie (and having read the rules prior to posting) my brain was/is overloaded with not just this problem but other things as well.

Maybe I am breaking one of the rules I don't know, but if there is another piece of criteria that I was unaware of (same issue) do I have to create another post? I will try to resolve it myself first before posting.

Thanks again I would like to be a good community member.

    Hi, NotQuiteThere

If your next question is closely related to (or is an extension of) the question you originally posted in this thread then you post it here. If it's an unrelated issue then you would start a new thread. Starting a new thread also has the advantage of being more likely to be read by all those looking to offer assistance.

And, given your location, there's no doubt in my mind you'll be a good community member.
