Question Conditional formatting, three colour scale, how to use relative cell

If you try to use a relative cell reference (i.e. change the $A$1 reference to $A1)in a Conditional formatting, three colour scale, it appears an error like: formulas in conditional formatting cannot have realtive references.
How can I solve it ?
My goal is to special paste the conditional formatting to other cells, keeping the relative reference to cell.

    thanks

I can tell you for sure, that:

formulas in conditional formatting can have realtive references.

Perhaps a small sample workbook that shows your problem will help..
