    Question Doubt in sum function...

    Hello everyone,

I have a doubt on my Excel file related with a sum function, but the function has as criteria the date. See in imagem below:

So, I want a simple think, sum the values on H column (Ganhos) but only the specific month.

Example, August has 5 entries so I only want the sum of theses values... And for the others months is the same.

Is easy, but I could not understand how do it.

Sorry if I kicked some word in English.

    This can be done, but

You get better help, if you post (upload) your excel file, without confidentional information.

If you download the result, the members post here, you get the formula in your own Excel language (e.g. portugese).
Notice my main language is not English.

I appreciate it, if you reply on my solution.

    Re: Doubt in sum function...

assuming your data is in column A1:A6 and C1:C6 then

    =SUMPRODUCT(N(MONTH(A1:A6)=8),C1:C6)

will give you sum for august. Adjust range to fit your data.

Is this what you are looking for?
    Regards,
    Vandan

You can also use pivot table, to solve your problem.
