How to make excel save the data in a certain cell as of a specific time of the day

I have a cell that contains market vale of a fund. This updates throughout the day. I need to have this data saved every day at 600 pm (I am generating historical portfolio returns) - how do I do that?

    Thanks in advance!

First part is creating the snapshot as per pwnyadav007's solution to my request.

Second part is to adapt Stephen Bullens "previous' found here.

If you have a worksheet updated continuously with a DDE link (e.g. a stock price feed), is it possible for the worksheet to automatically remember previous values as new ones come in? Yes it is, using a complex set of circular references. This worksheet will remember the previous 10 entries typed into the changing cell. Full explanations included in cell notes in the sheet.

I have lengthened to 20 cells - probably can lengthen to 250 market days + 250 non time data points and then need to use some function that will return those cells with the values you want and not the 'switch' value e.g. "0" or "X" or FALSE.

If you work out how to do this please post as I also want to do it but am rusty on functions - maybe something akin to "countif" at the array entry cell would stop it 'printing' the switch value so you just have the prices.
