Tried to look it up on the internet but none of the given answers seem to give me the answer.
I have a sheet in which rows represent weeks and columns represent days.
In every cell is a value "OFF","TLD" or "TLN"
I need to know how many "OFF" there are on mondays in week 1, how many "TLD" on mondays in week 1...

in L4 of your workbook:
drag-fill three more columns towards right, two more rows towards bottom.

CSE, aka Array aka { }, formulae are confirmed with CONTROL+SHIFT+ENTER.
Replace commas ( , ) with semicolons ( ; ) in formulae, if your locale setting demands.

This formula doesn't seem to work...
Can you put in the excelsheet itself?
Maybe the issue is that I use a european version of xls and ";" and "," are sometimes used differently.

also i dont think countifs work in excel 2003 so check your version
if your on 2003 use the sumproduct function
