Excel find earliest date within 12 month period.

I have an employee attendance calendar that I’m trying to create. When an employee is tardy or absent, they receive one occurrence. What I would like excel to do is (within a specific range) find the earliest date with the previous 12 month period. This date will reflect when the next occurrence will drop off. Hope this doesn’t sound confusing.

This is a list I have created. You'll notice that everything before the highlighted cell is is now to old to be the outcome. The oldest outcome there should ever be is todays date-last year. Hope you can understand!!

that's odd - it worked for me on the sheet you uploaded
are you sure you're enter it as an array formula?
if that's not the problem, perhaps yo can upload a copy with the formula in and I'll take a look

Make sure you use the instruction from NickyC. On cell D16, delete the date you have on it. Copy and paste the formula from NickyC and press Control+Shift+Enter to enter, not just Enter.
