    Lookup Based on 2 Criteria

    Hi all.

Can someone please help with a formula please.

I have a cost history list which I need to extract data from based on the last costing price.

Column A = Product code (Can be repeated many time)
Column B = Product Description (As above)
    Column C = Costing Date
    Column D = Cost Price

I want to look up the cost value based on the Product Code and the last costing date.

    Many thanks

    Diane

Re: Lookup Based on 2 Criteria

Assuming the products are grouped per sample, together and in chronological order, then if you enter the Product code in A1 of Sheet2, formula would be:

    =IF(A1="","",LOOKUP(2,1/(Sheet1!A2:A25=A1),Sheet1!D2:D25))
Where there is a will there are many ways.
