    Dear members,

i have a workbook, which having "n" number of sheet in it having a,b, c ...............z name.all the sheet have different working in it.i need a summary sheet which through out all the sheet name and in next cell it corresponding cell identified from that particular sheet is it possible.please let me know.

For example i have 5 sheet in one work book named as a1,b1,c1,d1,e1
in each sheet i have certain workings.result occurs in cell D50 (assume)
but the result of the workings are comparative with each other, hence i required a summary sheet which shows -column A name of the sheet and in Column B the value from cell D50 of that particular sheet .

It's always helpful if you can attach a supporting worksheet with your questions, but I think I know what you are looking for.

In terms of pulling in the data from D50, just click on the cell in your summary sheet you want the value to appear in and type the equals sign. Then open the spreadsheet you want to take the value on, click on cell D50 and press the return key. The value should now appear in the cell you selected on your summary sheet.

As for the names of the individual sheet names, if they stay the same then why not type them in manually to your summary sheet? If this isn't suitable then I am not sure of a way you can pull the name of the worksheet through without it being in a cell already and using the mentod mentioned above.
