Exclude Blank Cell from Formula
Hello,
I have a basic formula for calculating an average over a quarter, =average(125:k25) and would like to know how to exclude any of the cells if there is no entry (blank cell) The values are automatically inserted from another spreadsheet in the same workbook. I htought about simply figuring out the average myself but there are too many departments to do that. Any direction would be helpful.
The average function should already ignore blank cells and text

Expanding a bit more. From Excel Help for the Average function:
If a range or cell reference argument contains text, logical values, or empty cells, those values are ignored; however, cells with the value zero are included.

The average function does not include blanks. It does not count them as zero's if that is your concern.
