    Multiple Character Substitute Formula

    Hello

    I'm wanting to substitute any numbers within a string with an asterisk character.

    For example:

    TELEMETRY_DATA_0_TO_31 would become TELEMETRY_DATA_*_TO_**

    I realise I could use 10 nested substitute formulas, one for each number, but wondered if there was a more elegant solution out there.

    Only if you wrote a user-defined function for it.

    It's not exactly the same as your query, but the UDF in post #13 may give you a start.
