Adding/Deleting a Row and keeping formulas intact

    Hello Everyone,

I have a bit of an issue. I created a spreadsheet that I am trying to perfect and can't seem to nail it. I'm sure the answer is extremely simple, but I am just not able to figure it out.

I created a budget-type Excel workbook that computes a budget. The majority of the formulas are a basic "=sum(val1/val2*val3)" with the remaining formulas being the even simpler "=sum(val1-val15)".

My issue is, (on the picture referenced below), all numbers are calculated by dividing the numbers on the left with the total number to get the percentage in which they contribute then multiplied by the cost in the red bar on top which gives me the figures in blue. Each blue box has that formula:

    \1

Now when I add a row, the row populates with a faulty formula or with 0 value instead of using a similar formula as previously used. I would like it to replicate to the exact formula except using its new respective row instead of the row below. Also, the red row in the bottom, calculates an "=sum(A1,A3,A5,A7)" for example, and the red box below calculates every even number. I know if I did A1-A7 and I add two rows, it would default to A1-A9, however I don't know how I can make it include the odd number of the two I just added and respectively to the even number I just added.

Here's what I get when I add (for example) 2 rows:

    \1

Thank you all so much for your help, and please let me know if you need further clarification.

    Dave
