Formula to add cell to named list / range (data validation)

Hi all, can anyone assist me in determining a formula that would add a cell to an existing named / drop down list used in an excel spreadsheet? For example, if I enter a value in cell A5. I want the formula to automatically add the contents of A5 to the named list (data validation drop down list) that is in another sheet.

Humm, ive checked-out the dynamic name range and yes, thats what im looking for. The only thing i noticed, is that it when you select the list of cells it doesnt show the common name in the excel name bar? Would that make a difference?
    and thanks for the reply!
