help with vlookup/ pivot table for importing data

On the attached spreadsheet I have the raw data for all months on the “ALL DATA” tab which shows asset # (which is unique and no duplicates) and its relevant sales batch number. There are several asset’s per batch number. I have created a pivot table to group the data together.
I have a list of asset #’s for just JULY which I want to assign the relevant asset numbers. The data for july can be seen on the “JUL” tab. I am having problems with the best way to do this. A vlookup doesn’t seem to work as some of the batch numbers have several assets assigned to it and i cant seem to figure out if a pivot table can be used Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi,

Attached the worksheet to answer your question. I have added one extra column in C "Counts" in both worksheet then index formula works for A column in July worksheet.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks & Warm Regards,

    Prasad Avasare.
