    CONCATENATE and Cell Formatting

Can a cell be formated when concatenate is used? When the 2 cells are combined I am getting an unwanted result.
Example (.005 combined with .006) is giving a result of ( 0.005 0.006). I just need values to the right of the decimal.
Traditional custom cell formatting doesn't seem to work.

    Something like

    =TEXT(A1,".000")&" "&TEXT(B1,".000")
