Forumla for Raising Flags in data entry

Gidday,

I am looking for a simple formula for raising flags in data entry. That is - when data is entered into a cell (say B2) and next (weekly) entry is entered into cell (C2) - if the data entered in C2 is + or - 50% of the the data in B2, then a flag is raised - and a string will appear on the worksheet "! This data is 50% + or - of previous entry. Is this correct?"

Can someone help me with this?

Thanks Twiggy . Looks good. However, I would like the message to appear in another cell. ie. say two lines below. And can I get the message to appear in red? Cheers Seano
