Compare 2 cells in a worksheet and highlight if different?

Hi I am trying to compare data from 2 different sources which I have entered onto the same spreadsheet.
The amounts are in the same row but I would like a quick way of comparing the amounts so that I can see if data from either source differs.
    Hope that makes sense!
    Thanks
    Lou

You could apply conditional formatting, but tell us which cells/columns you are using for those amounts.

An alternative is a formula in a helper column which compares the two values and returns "same" or "different", then you could apply a filter to this helper column.

    Hope this helps.

Is this what you had in mind?

Assume the values are in cells A1 and J1

    =IF(A1=J1,"There is a Match","No there is not a Match")
Click on star (*) below if this helps
