Sum of two cells with a minimum number

I've gone through 12 pages of search results looking for this. I would really appreciate the help, guys!

I'm trying to get the sum of 2 cells that must be at least 25,000.

    I tried =MIN(25000,(D7+G7)) but that doesn't work.

    PLEASE HELP!!

    It would be

    = MAX(25000, D7+E7)
    Does that work for you?
