    Conditional formating formula

    I'm trying to use conditional formatting to color cells more than $600 dollars in red and the ones less than $500 in green. Can someone help please?

    Here's an alternative to your simple request...

    If you right click on the cell(s), choose Format Cells; under Number, choose Custom; under Type: enter the following

    [Red][>600]$#,##0;[Green][<500]$#,##0;$#,##0
