    Named Range / Series?

I'd like to use a FY month list, Oct thru Sep, as a series in a chart. Can this be done and the original cells deleted so the info resides in excel memory? I tried the named range thing and when I deleted the source cells it lost its ref#. I have nearly 100 charts in a workbook and I'm thinking I could reduce file bloat if I ref one single source vice a FY month range for each chart data series.

    Hey Steve,

    Would something like this work?

    Named Range - Series.xls

I took a guess on what you wanted.

Let me know if this is what you had in mind.

    Very cool!

Can you run through the syntax of the formula? Not sure how this works...

    Update -

    Dennis,

I just looked up the 'Cell' function. Now it all makes sence. Very nice!

    Thanks again,

    Steve
