What is wrong with this formula?

What is wrong with this formula?

=IF("B2"=GRC_Mapping!$A2:A19,GRC_Mapping!$B2,GRC_Mapping!B2)

I've attached an example spread sheet. Look up value is GRC_Mapping, if column A matches a crossbox is the memotech spreadsheet, I need it to populate a GRC # in the cell directly to the right in column B.

I've attached an example, thank you for taking a look.

Re: Losing sleep over this If formula

Hi

Memotech!C2: =VLOOKUP(B2,GRC_Mapping!$A:$B,2,FALSE)

Copy that formula from C2 and paste into D2 and F2, then down as required.

When I do that it only shows the formula and not the value.

We would love to continue to help you with your query, but first, before we can proceed, please see the forum rules about proper thread titles and adjust accordingly...

Your post does not comply with Rule 1 of our Forum RULES. Your post title should accurately and concisely describe your problem, not your anticipated solution. Use terms appropriate to a Google search. Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.
To change a Title on your post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.

Re: Losing sleep over this If formula

The cells are formatted as text because I need the leading zero's. Could that be affecting the formula?

just a question for you AAAmy. if you did a Google search for what you want, based on what you're thread title is (and was), just exactly what would you expect to get back from that search?
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you
