    Undo Table format

    Hello Everyone,
I have an Exel table list of names addresses and phone numbers etc of 48 names.
I tried to apply a table format giving alternate lines a darker/lighter colour appearance.
This suddenly caused the top (1st) line to become black with the text unreadable.
I had previously "Saved" the page when exiting.
To try to undo this I tried to change all to 'Normal Range.'
This has had no effect other than to make it impossibe to find a way to start again, or just adjust that first line.
    Advice is needed here, please!

    Regards
    Colinito

    Re: Undo Table format

    Hello Colinito
Converting a Table back to a range does not remove the formatting. Having converted it back to range I would suggest selecting the whole database of addresses then set fill colour to 'No Fill', set the font to 'Automatic' and remove borders. You should be able to start from there to format it as required.

    Hope this helps.

    Re: Undo Table format

    Thank you for that, DBY,
Unfortunately, probably because I'm well past my 'sell-by-date,' my efforts to follow your instructions ended in tragedy! I therefore re-wrote the whole Excel page and reformatted it in Table and have got it more or less as I want it. The only niggling thing is that the first horizontal line designated as "1" now has titles for the vertical columns as Column 1, Column 2, etc along it instead of the first name and address, the first name and address now being numbered as 2, but I can live with that!

    Thanks for your post.

    Regards,

    Colinito

    Re: Undo Table format

My thanks to FDibbins and DBY, although my failure to correctly follow instructions ended in failure - the advice was good and will be kept for use on another occasion!
    Thread "Solved"!!
    Thank you!

    Colinito.
