How to sum totals in one table based on criteria from another

    Question.xlsx

    Hope the attachment works.
I want a formula that adds up the costs (first table, column B) next to any names (column A) whose seniority (second table, column F) is less than 5 (see attached). I have a hunch that SUMPRODUCT would be very useful here, but I’m very new to that particular formula. Not sure how I would use it in conjunction with a LOOKUP, VLOOKUP, or maybe a MATCH formula, but I think one of those would be necessary since the formula will need to find seniority of the names in one table and match it to the names in the other.
If they were all in one table it would be easier for me, but the truth is that the original workbook has these two tables in separate sheets. Thanks for any help you can offer on this.

This would work if the data were in the same rows (or same table). My two tables are on different sheets in the original workbook, and they are on different starting rows in each sheet. It's my fault for being unclear here. What I need is this:
Return the names corresponding with any seniority values under 5 in one table, then sum the costs corresponding to each of those names in the first table. I've reattached a better example to my original post, showing the two tables on different sheets 1 & 2.

still looking for some assistance on this issue. I am also looking for a more user friendly help forum. Any suggestions on either issue would be greatly appreciated with positive feedback and stars forthcoming.
