Question Formulas not working: NOT set to manual, NOT formatted as text (excel 2010)

Hi

Very bizarre. Usually works fine, sometimes it doesn't. Have a formula that uses countifs from another tab to counts pieces of work each month. Puts info into a chart to show # of pieces each month. Answer should be 12 or 24 each month. Sometimes when you go in to check, ALL months show 0.
• Workbook is set to automatic, even if you click the "Calc Now" button it doesn't update to show true #.
• All workbooks that are open are set to AUTOMATIC so it's not that 1 workbook is set to manual and messing this one up
• Cell format is set to General, not Text.

If you click into the cell itself and hit enter, then THAT CELL ONLY calculates.

What can be causing this!? This is making reporting difficult each month!

hard to say without seeing what you are working with. can you upload a sample for us to see?
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

I tried to attach the file but it's too large. I tried making it smaller, deleting data out of it, saving it into a .xlsx file but then it forced the calcs somehow so the formula calculated and the numbers appeared. I have attached screenshots instead. Hope that can help somewhat to solve this mystery.

Hi again
Just some more background. This file originated as a excel 2003 file. This past year we converted to Excel 2010 so when that happened I did a File/Save as to change the file to .xlsm I just read somewhere that I also needed to go into Options/Save and change the format there as well to 2010.

When I just checked the one file it was set to 2003 .xls so I changed it to 2010. I hope this will fix it but probably won't know for a little bit until the file is updated again by the users. When I checked the other file I have it was set to 2010 .xlsm in the Options/Save section and it too was having issues not updating so.... not sure that was the problem...

Post your Excel workbook, not the picture.
