    Question Conditional row color based on a cell value

    Can someone please explain this to me.

    I need to colour in a row if a spesific cell in the that row has the value "true".

    I foudn this forum, however it doen't make sense-
    Can someone give me a step by step.
    p.s only using eith fomulas or conditional formatiing.

    1. Select the Rows you want to format
    2. In the Home tab, Styles group, click on Conditional Formatting.
    3. Select New Rule.
    4. The New Formatting Rule window will open.
    5. Click Use a formula to determine which cells to format.
    6. In the edit box labeled “Format values where this formula is true“, enter
    Formula: copy to clipboard

    7. Click the Format button. The Format Cells window will open.
    8. Specify the formatting you want
    9. Click OK to close The Format Cells window.
    10. Click OK to close The New Formatting Rule window.

    1 reason you could not follow the instructions on the ASAP website is because the refer to 2003 CF, not 2007 (btw ASAP is a fantastic add-on for excel, its 1 drawback maybe that there is just soooo many things you can do with it lol)

    a variation in Six's method would be to use this formula instead, assuming the TRUE cell is in A1 (it could be anywhere, adjust the references to suite)...
    =A$1="true"
