Calculating Average Based on Multiple Criteria

Hi

I am looking for help with a formula to calculate the average of performance figures based on multiple criteria.

I need to calculate the average of each performance score for a specific member of staff, for each month of the year.

Attached is a test sheet with an example of the data and my attempt at the formula

Sorry I forgot to mention that I am using Excel 2003 and am unable to use =sumifs
