    Complex Look-Up Table

    Hi,

I'm having a bit of trouble creating a look-up table in Excel. I think the best way to explain this is with the attached file, basically what I'm trying to do is write a formula in sheet 2 that identifies in which column in sheet 1 the relative letter is located for each row. (If that makes sense?)

I've managed to do it if the options are "A", "B" or "A+B" using a combination of the INDEX and MATCH functions but struggled with the inclusion of the third variable. Is there any easier way to do it?

Thanks for any help or info you can provide,
