I ma trying to use sumproduct but am getting the answer zero, rather than the count of number of cells that meet my criteria. I have attached an example of my data. What am I doing wrong ?

    Re: Sumproduct

    2 more paranthesis.

    =SUMPRODUCT((Data!C:C=Summary!$C7)*(Data!D:D<Summary!D$6))

    Re: Sumproduct

    you are missing some parentheses
    =SUMPRODUCT((Data!C:C=Summary!$C7)*(Data!D:D<Summary!D$6))

    Re: Sumproduct

also since you appear to be using 2007 or later
    =COUNTIFS(Data!$C:$C,$C7,Data!$D:$D,"<"&D$6)
    is more efficient
