Find most recent date within a defined range of dates

I have a sheet (Sheet2) that has a list of dates in row N. I'm looking to find the most recent date within the column of dates (Sheet2 Row N) that fall within a specified date range (date range defined by Sheet1 Row H5 and H6). The formula would probably include <H6 and >H5 as those are the upper and lower ends of the date range I'm looking for.
I want to stay away from a specified search range using the ctrl-shift-enter since the list of data (Sheet2 Row N) would increase based on data I pull from an external source.

Also, where would I place this formula within my current formula... =IF(D8<>"Active","",VLOOKUP(A8,Data!M:P,2,))

This formula is doing the basic job of finding the most recent date, but I simply want to add an upper and lower date range for it to return.

    Thanks!!
