    altering cell references within a formula

    I have a column (F) with values from 1 to 7. These are derived from a MATCH function searching for specific criteria.

    Other processes occur in another column (E) to check other conditions.

    Where certain conditions trigger actions, I want to return a value from the same row, and I want it to look F columns to the right of G.

    I tried

    =indirect(address(row(),column(8+f27)))

    but I am not making headway with this. I'm sure there's an easier way, but I'm not seeing it

    Please assist.

    Thank you,
    Jason from Everett

    Jason from Everett,

    It would be best if you uploaded a worksheet that contains sample data AND expected results (you can just type them in manually). It will let the gurus here figure out how to best help you.
