I have a spreadsheet of inventory with multipe part numbers in columns and the piece count in an adjacent column. How can I look up a certain part number and get a total piece count? Thank you for any help!

Hi. Thank you for responding. Is there anyway you could break this down for me? Say I wanted part #45's piece count. How do I input that into COUNTIF?
Unfortunately your request is not clear.
Pls upload a sample workbook.
You can probably solve this with an pivot table, but as already said,
you don't add an excel example, so i can't show you.
Notice my main language is not English.

Suppose you have a list of parts in cells A1:A14 and you wanted to know how parts with part no. #45, were in that list, as Fotis pointed out, use the COUNTIF.
