    Unhappy Ceiling formula

    Hi,

New to the forum and a novice at Excel.

Using the CEILING formula, I am tracking engine servicing every 500 hours. The formula should show when the next service is due by rounding the last service up to the next 500 hour interval (i.e. 500, 1000, 1500, 2000...)

It works fine if the service hours aren't on the 500-hour increment number (i.e. 501, 1001, 1501 etc), but, when it does land on a "whole" number (i.e. 500, 1000, 1500, 2000...), it doesn't automatically look to the next 500 hours.

Is there something I can add to say that, if the service lands on the "whole" number, add another 500?

Not being too familiar with Excel, and if you can help, can you please answer in simple terms as you would a toddler?

    Thanks
    F
