    Question VLOOKUP problem

Hi all, I'm trying to use the VLOOKUP command and I'm new to using it, but I can't get the thing to work, can anyone help....

What I'm basically trying to do is to say if the references in column B appear anywhere column D then return a 'yes', if they don't then return a 'no'. I thought it was simple, but not for me!!!

    All help appreciated

    Attachment shows my attempt!!

    Thanks

    Re: VLOOKUP problem

See there this formula works fine for you?

    =IF(VLOOKUP(B3,misc,1,FALSE)=B3,"Y", "N")
    Thanks!
    Raga.

Brilliant thanks Raga, works a treat and I've found a few errors in what I'd done, so great help, much appreciated.
