IF function to work out Ordinary hours, Time 1/2 and Double time!!

F: Create a function in G8 to calculate the ordinary hour's component of the total hours worked on monday.

Ensure that this function can be copied into cells G9:G13 to calculate the correct ordinary hours worked on Tuesday right through to Saturday. Hint: Consider using a nested IF function.

G: Creat a function/formula in H8 to calculate the overtime hours worked on Monday.

Ensure that this function can be copied into cells H9:H13 to calculate the correct overtime hours worked on Tuesday right through to Saturday.

H: Create a function in I8 to calculate the time and 1/2 hours worked on Monday.

Ensure that this function can be copied into cells I9:I13 to calculate the correct time and 1/2 hours worked on Tuesday right through to Sunday. Hint: Consider using a nested IF function.

I: Create a function in J8, calculate the double time hours worked on Monday.

Ensure that this function can be copied into cells J9:J13 to calculate the correct time and 1/2 hours worked on Tuesday right through to Sunday.

I am pretty sure I have worked out the ordinary hours section...??

The weekly payroll cycle starts on a Monday. Standard ordinary working hours are Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break (8 ordinary hours per day) Sometimes employees vary these hours to meet their personal needs. Hours worked in excess of eight (8) ordinary hours are considered overtime.

On weekdays, the first 2 overtime hours are paid at time and 1/2 and remaining overtime hours are paid at double time rates.

Hours worked on Saturday are considered overtime, with the first 2 hours worked at time and 1/2 rates and remaining overtime hours are paid at double time rates.

The business does not operate on Sunday.

If there is anyone that can give me a hand please

Also what formula would I use in F14 to calculate total hours worked. Formula has to be copied and pasted for G14:J14 as well.

    Hi,

    My first post.

How do you take the Time 1/2 and Double Time hours out of the Ordinary hours column.
Total hours and Ordinary hours are the same amount.
Shouldn't Ordinary hours be less OT hours.

    Thanks
