Find function not working on some pasted data from Word

I copied and pasted some data from MS Word in to an existing sheet but the find function won't detect some of the new entries.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for the response.
I don't know what you mean by SEARCH.

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to make it clear what is needed. Include BEFORE/AFTER sheets if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to open the upload window.

I thought I'd attached the files but after submitting the post they weren't there. So I've tried again.
    Yes, I mean find/replace.
I pasted an entry "I Couldn't Live Without Your Love"(amongst others) from Word but Excel won't detect it unless I retype the entry while in Excel.

Re: Find function not working on some pasted data from Word

I'm making a worksheet of song titles, artists and album titles of my cd collection. I decided Excel would be a better way of saving the data than WORD. When I copy and paste a list of song titles from WORD into Excel, the find/replace function doesn't locate some of the new entries. Most notably songs titles beginning with I.
Hope this helps explain the situation better.

Re: Find function not working on some pasted data from Word

I think Martin's point is, if you show the data, then highlight the problem areas, and have a note explaining what it is your trying to do, (ie- "I am tryind to replace "this" with "that"), then it would be easier to help you..so far we have some data, a vague definition of the problem, and no idea of what you expect to see...
A picture may be worth a thousand words, BUT, a sample Workbook is worth a thousand screenshots!

I've supplied the error message from the worksheet. I hope this helps.

Re: Find function not working on some pasted data from Word

how can we search images to try and replicate the result?
    but
    1. make sure the Match entire cell contents is not selected in options
    2. you could try in find *i'm stoned*

Re: Find function not working on some pasted data from Word

Match entire cell contents was unchecked and adding the *'s made no difference.
Out of the list I attached, the entries in red aren't detectable by the find function.

I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch)
I Couldn’t Live Without Your Love

    I Feel The Earth Move
    If I Only Had Time
I Got The Music In Me
    I Like How It Feels
    I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll
I’m Stone In Love With You
    In The Country
    In The Mood
    Isn’t She Lovely?
    It’s Too Late

I have discovered if I search without using the first word, ie: "stone in love" rather than "i'm stone in love", it detects it.
Not a solution but a workaround.
