complicated IFTHEN formula

I would like to get an IFTHEN formula or whichever is appropriate for the following situations:

Case #1
If A2 is in the range of 0.70-4.11, then “4”; else
if A2 is in the range of 4.11-9.48, then “3”; else
if A2 is in the range of 9.48-16.19, then “2”; else
if A2 is <0.79 or >16.19, then “1”

Case #2
If A2 is <25, then “4”; else
if A2 is in the range of 25.1-50.11, then “3”; else
if A2 is in the range of 50.12-75, then “2”; else
if A2 is >75 or 0, then “1”

A lookup table using the VLOOKUP() function seems easier than an IF function http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ex...011.aspx?CTT=1

Sorry for the typo in Case# 1 line 1. It should be
If A2 is in the range of 0.79-4.11, then “4”; else

Thanks for the correction. This might be a LOOKUP formula, I'm not sure.
